About Neuroscience 2026

The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Annual Meeting is the world's largest neuroscience conference, drawing over 30,000 researchers, clinicians, and students each year. Neuroscience 2026 returns to Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

What to Expect

The five-day event features thousands of poster presentations, symposia, and keynote lectures spanning every area of brain science — from molecular neurobiology to cognitive neuroscience, neuromodulation, and clinical translation. Major themes in recent years have included brain-computer interfaces, non-invasive neuromodulation (TMS, tDCS, VNS), psychedelic neuroscience, and the neural basis of chronic pain.

Why It Matters for BMS Readers

SfN is where the peer-reviewed research that shapes nervous system health products originates. Many of the clinical trials and technologies we cover — vagus nerve stimulators, neurofeedback devices, breathwork protocols — trace their evidence base to work presented at this meeting. If you follow the science behind the products, this is where it starts.

Registration

Registration typically opens in late summer. Early registration discounts are available for SfN members. Visit the official SfN website for current pricing and abstract submission deadlines.
